Story Time: Seven full story screenplays January 21, 2013

Filed under: unproduced screenplays — ljaggard @ 9:54 am

Story Time is a revised version of a previous book titled The Story Book. In this volume only the top seven screenplays of my 27 script collection are included. These are the stories that made the rounds in national and international screenplay competitions, as far as the finals. Both Saber-Toothed Cat and Storm Shadows made the finals in two popular script contests. The five others included here made it as far as the semi-finals.

About Storm Shadows:

Of the 22 unproduced screenplay shorts and 5 features, Rat’s Bite was the first screenplay written, now around a 20 page short Rat’s Bite made its first shorts script competition debut at the American Gems Short Screenplay Competition, then originally 13 pages long and drove to the Quarter Finals of that contest.

Rat’s Bite was rewritten several times since then and was entered in Anything But Hollywood Short Screenplay Competition where it rose to the Semi Finals. After major rewrites, Rat’s Bite was renamed and registered as Storm Shadows then entered in the Writer’s Place under short screenplay/teleplay competition, there it reached the finals

Rat’s Bite still exists under its original title now separated from its longer offshoot, Storm Shadows. The future goal of the Rat’s Bite-Storm Shadows scripts is to create another longer version, a full featured screenplay which has already begun.

Loglines to the Seven Story Screenplays in Story Time;

Saber-Toothed Cat: short story:  A little tomboy’s mother wants to rid the family of her daughter’s beloved undomesticated cat until the mother faces the jaws of a vicious dog.

The Pixie Detective: short story:  A pixie detective wannabe finds something quite unusual about her black cat when she stumbles on an illegal operation at the abandoned shipyard next door.

Storm Shadows: short story:  Up against an indecisive crossroad, a troubled man steps back into his past with the help of a mysterious little boy from his stormy childhood.

Sleigh Ride of the Red Missile: short story:  A massive nuclear missile rockets to the east coast of the United States from across the Atlantic Ocean and will teach one typical American family the true meaning of Christmas, if they and the citizens of the city survive the impact.

A Flicker of Hope: short story:  Normally uncooperative nursing home employees must band together in order to save the life of one of the home’s residents during a storm that was not forecasted.

When it comes to shopping, more and more of us are letting our fingers (and our mice) do the walking.

Online sales are expected to hit $211 billion this year.  That is a rise of 20 percent over last year and comes just three years after the industry hit the $100 billion milestone, according to the 2006 State of Retailing Online report from and Forrester Research.

Here are seven reasons it makes sense to shop online:
